A possum only needs a gap about the size of a fist to get into a roof. Once it has found one, it will keep using it, and so will the next possum that comes along. Entry point sealing in Caboolture closes those gaps so the roof space stays shut.

If a possum is still living in the roof, the crew will not seal it inside. They close the smaller gaps first and fit a one-way door over the main one. Once the possum is out, that gap is sealed as well. This order matters, because a possum shut inside a roof can cause more damage trying to get out.
